For Children 7 and up |
Week 2: June 2nd - 6th | ||
| Time: | Monday - Friday 9 am to 3 pm and 11am to 5 pm | ||
| Cost: | $350/week/person | ||
|
Campers will learn safety around horses; how to groom, saddle, and bridle their horse; basic riding skills; how to care for a horse and their equipment; Horse anatomy, color and breeds; riding disciplines and much more.
Campers must wear long pants and closed toed shoes (NO SANDALS OR SHORTS). They are encouraged to bring along a swim suit, towels, and tennis shoes to wear while washing horses.
They should also bring: a sack lunch (refrigerator available), water bottle, sun screen, pony tail holders, riding helmet if they have one (bicycle helmets will not work). For campers who do not have their own helmets, one will be provided.

Campers in this session will focus on perfecting their riding skills and gaining a deeper understanding of all things horse related! They will learn, among other things, horse anatomy, age appropriate medical information, conformation, showing details, advanced grooming, horse behavior, training methods, detailed horse management, first aid, equipment safety and care, riding disciplines, farrier work, and much more!
Campers must wear long pants and closed toed shoes (NO SANDALS OR SHORTS). They are encouraged to bring along a swim suit, towels, and tennis shoes to wear while washing horses.
